Hey, welcome to District 36 Tattoos! We know how difficult it can be deciding on where to get your tattoo so we've compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help ensure you're making the right decision!

How much does a tattoo cost?

Tattoos will start from $80 and up . The final price can vary, depending on size, placement, details, color or no color and how much time it will take.

Do I need to book an appointment?

We accept walk-ins depending on artist availability. To check availability, book an appointment or consultation with an artist,  please call us at 973-771-9666.

Do appointments require a deposit?

At our tattoo shop, we kindly request clients to place a deposit when booking their appointments. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable and will be applied towards the total cost of the tattoo. Should you need to reschedule your appointment, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice to transfer your deposit to the new date. Regrettably, failure to notify us within the specified timeframe will result in the forfeiture of the deposit, which will be non-transferable. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and efficient appointment scheduling process.

How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

Clients must be 18 or older. Minors the age of 16 & 17 must come with a parent/guardian. The parent/guardian must bring their acceptable form of identification (we accept non-expired, government-issued photo ID and the child’s birth certificate).

What will I need the day of my appointment?

You will need to bring an acceptable form of identification, we accept government-issued photo IDs. We recommend you come well-rested and well-hydrated to your appointment.

Can I bring family/ a friend with me?

At District 36 Tattoo Parlor, the health and comfort of both our team and clients are of utmost importance. As part of our commitment to safety, we have implemented precautionary measures. For clients with appointments, we kindly request that only one accompanying person be present during the session.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit/debit cards and Apple Pay, as well as cash. We charge a 4% fee for all card transactions.

How can I get a price quote?

For the most accurate pricing information, we recommend booking a complimentary consultation with our talented artists. Alternatively, you can fill out our Tattoo Request Form, and our dedicated team will promptly reach out to you. If you prefer an in-person discussion, you are welcome to visit our parlor and speak with an available artist. We take pride in providing excellent service and ensuring you have all the information needed to make the best decision for your tattoo.
