Tattoo Aftercare Instructions
(With Saniderm Film)
The aftercare of your tattoo will greatly determine the way your tattoo will look once it has fully healed.
Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo!
1-Keep film on for 4-5 days. Do your best to avoid the sun. The first Three days are the most important, the tattoo is still an open wound. Leaving the film on will help prevent from any infections.
2-The first Two days you want to avoid water completely. Try not to sweat in the area with film, it can cause the film to peel.
3-when removing film, peel the corner and let water inside. This will help wet the adhesive from the film to peel easier. You may still have adhesive from the glue after removing. It will take a few times washing in order to remove completely.
4-Soak film really well. If needed use antibacterial soap to help peel off the film.
5-While removing film, do not pull towards your tattoo. Pull away from the tattoo. This will help to not rip your new tattoo or skin.
6-After film is remove, clean with antibacterial soap. Let the tattoo air dry for a couple of minutes. Then apply our aftercare cream (Hustle Butter) as needed. Do not allow tattoo to dry out.
Tattoo Aftercare Instructions
(Without Saniderm Film)
The aftercare of your tattoo will greatly determine the way your tattoo will look once it has fully healed.
Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo!
When you get home:
Remove bandage within 1 - 2 hours after getting your tattoo. Do not re-bandage. Your tattoo needs to breathe.
Wash your tattoo with an anti-bacterial fragrance free liquid soap. Be gentle, do not use a washcloth or anything that will exfoliate your tattoo. Only use your hands.
The first 3-4 days:
Rub a thin layer of ointment on your tattoo. You may use triple antibiotic ointment,
an unscented lotion (with no alcohol in the lotion). Always use clean hands and do not place your fingers back into the ointment after touching your tattoo. Apply ointment 3-5 times daily, as needed.
On the first night, you may want to wrap your tattoo in saran wrap to prevent sticking to your bedding. Do not use any cloth bandages or pads, as the fibers of this
material can adhere to your open tattoo and hinder the healing process. Wear clean, soft clothing over your tattoo for the first 2 weeks– nothing abrasive or irritating. For a foot tattoo: go barefoot as much as possible. If you must wear
shoes, first wrap your clean tattoo in saran wrap, then cover with a clean cotton sock before putting on your shoe. Avoid sandals or flip-flops for this period to prevent chafing and damage to the tattoo.
After day 3 or 4:
Your tattoo will begin to peel. This is normal! Do not pick at the skin. Begin using a mild, white, unscented lotion, free of dyes or Perfumes.
Use lotion for minimum 2 weeks, 1-2 times daily.
